They were talking that Belarus had the best looking girls, nice food, friendly people, but a bit expensive when talking about hotel and transportation. Indeed flight tickets to Belarus are really expensive. I was flying from Warsaw to Minsk using LOT(Polish company) and the ticket price was about 400 US dollars for both way flight and I booked it a month in advance. Moreover there were no real alternatives. Hotels seemed to be expensive too at the beginning, but then I found a few deals and hotel was like 60 USD for single room.<br />One more problem that I faced was Belarus visa. It is not the problem of getting it, but the list of the documents to present. The so-called tourist voucher and invitation letter must be included with the application for visa. Tourist voucher is like a contract that is done on money-type paper with various protections(why?) and should be done by Belarus tourist operator. Invitation letter is a letter that states your hotel booking and ordered services from Belarus travel agency and is supposed to guarantee that you have some services and support from Belarus based companies.
